The awning is built very well.

I had the idea that the holes in the corners could slip over the mushroom shaped posts that come out of a Promaster roof. It almost worked, but they were slightly too thick to seat reliably. And the distance between posts on one side was slightly too short. I think if I go diagonally driver front to passenger rear it might work. But harder to set up and take down.
If I can't make it work on the van, it will be ideal hanging off the garage to keep sun out of the windshield when parked under it in the driveway. The van is too tall to fit inside the garage unfortunately.

Working out the ideas with a stock size in hand, seeing what works and doesn't, how much stretch, really helps nail down the dimensions of a future custom order.

18' triangle sun shade sail:
The fabric is coarse but a sturdy, thick, and durable canvas/tarp material. The triangle shape is perfect for corner areas of coverage. It will be big enough to cover the corner of our deck and furniture. The brackets/hooks on the corner are heavy duty and strong. They should hold up well to wind. This shade will provide good protection from the sun and wind while relaxing under it. Instructions came with recommended accessories that would increase the ease of installation.

There is no doubt about it these shade sails are absolutely heavier duty than you standard sails. We love these shade sails and have been using them over our patio for the last 5 years. With the standard sails we put them up in April then take them down in late October because they can't handle snow or ice loads. So far they have held up to very heavy wind and rain storms though. We purchased this heavy duty version to see if maybe we can leave it up year around. The anchor points on this sail look like they are ten times stronger than the standard sails Plus the material is thicker. I will revisit this review down the road once we see how well they hold up.

We haven’t installed the shade on the house yet but I can tell that it is made well and should last a few years at least. Cable wire is seen into the whole edge of the shade which should help with durability against the weather. It arrived really folded up tight, so I have it stretched out on the patio to help unwrinkle it. Pole got installed today in the ground with cement. Hopefully by next weekend I will have pics to share.

Very durable with a sleek style and look want that hard to install I had two extra ppl help and I love the outcome
